The performing arts department includes both Drama and Music at Rainham Mark Grammar School.

Drama
The Drama team seek to encourage professional artists and practitioners of Drama to perform for and work with students and staff. The specific aims of Drama at RMGS are to encourage and develop:

Music
Music is an important part of the curriculum at RMGS, both due to its intrinsic qualities and for its benefits across the wider curriculum. The Music Department not only aims to develop musical ability but also the confidence and self-esteem of the individual.
Student’s learning is well supported in the purpose built Ryder Music Centre which features a main teaching room, IT suite, four practice rooms, recording studio and the Tommy Emmanuel Recital Hall.
