I was at GTHS from 1966 until 1973. I remember the transfer from the Gillingham site to the Pump Lane site. The new site offered us the chance to pick cherries and plums when we were doing PE in the summer. I remember the influx of the first girls in 1972 when I was a prefect in the sixth form.

I went on to study medicine at Sheffield. I am now a GP in the Peak District.
