Student Research Projects

At RMGS we have embraced the idea of using students as researchers. We believe that if we want to improve student’s achievements and commitment then we ought to at least consult and learn from our students about what they can tell us about teaching, learning and schooling.

Consequently we have worked with Canterbury Christchurch University and the Institute of Education to train up members of our academic council to produce their own reports on areas of the school that interested them relating to teaching and learning. The outcomes from their reports are then disseminated to the teaching staff at RMGS. We hope by publishing them on our school website they can be a resource for reference and the stimulus for further discussion. In addition it provides an excellent platform to show off the work of our students and to say how proud we are of them.
